What we do

Inge-Meat is an engineering study specialized in meat industry, and its principal mission is to improve the results of your business by:

  • Design of new processing plants
  • Optimization of existing resources
  • Incorporation of new technologies
  • Reduction of investments and work capital
  • Mermas reduction and productivity increase
  • Correct use of principal inputs
  • Equipment design and special process

(see covered areas)

Based on concepts of industrial engineering and personal experiences of our professionals, acquired and applied on different contexts in meat processing leader industries in Latin America (see clients).

Project steps

The steps of the project will be:

A. Basic engineering - Planning
B. Licitation papers and detailed engineering
C. Licitation and building
D. Moving and plant starting

A. Basic engineering - Planning

In this step it will be developed the planning and concepts of the project, the first task will be the creation of the work team, who basically will develop the following headings

1. Commercial plan

1.a. Initial products definition
1.b. Potential products
1.c. Formulation - Components
1.d. Packaging
1.e. Initial volume
1.f. Projected volume

2. Norms

2.a. Norms to be applied (internal and external)

3. Process

3.a. Flow charts
3.b. Critical points of process

4. Localization - Selection of terrains

4.a. Selection ways
4.b. Choices
4.c. Location and costs

5. Logistic

5.a. Meat products
5.b. No-meat products
5.c. Finished products
5.d. Auxiliary materials

6. Operation

6.a. Working hours
6.b. Turns

7. Organization

7.a. Organization charts

8. Equipment

8.a. Capacity definition
8.b. Market choices
8.c. Equipment selection

9. Services

9.a. Actual needs
9.b. Future needs
9.c. Technologies selection

10. Lay-Out

10.a. Rooms and equipment plans
10.b. Flow charts
10.c. Services
10.d. Characteristic application form of locals

11. Investment analysis

11.a. Investment determination
11.b. Execution times
11.c. Operative costs of the new plant
11.d. Production costs
11.e. Investment return analysis

12. Revision or approbation of the project

13. Documentation preparation for credit solicitation

B. Licitation papers and detailed engineering

From the development of basic engineering it will be proceed to the execution of the contract and detailed engineering papers, in order to count with an instrument which facilitates the suppliers’ contraction of the different headings, make an offer comparison and follow in detail the work steps.

For that, specialized personal will be assigned for the development of every calculation and real detail to be executed in the project.

The specializations to be developed will be:

14. Civil works

14.a. Structural design and calculation
14.b. Closings
14.c. Floors
14.d. Draining

15. Mechanic works

15.a. Cooling
15.b. Cold water
15.c. Washing water
15.d. Hot water
15.e. Steam and condensation
15.f. Compressed air
15.g. Stainless elements
15.h. Auxiliary equipment

16. Electric works

16.a. Motive power calculation and installation details
16.b. Lighting calculation and installation details
16.c. Data system
16.d. Communication

17. Setting up

17.a. Equipment setting up

18. Management

18.a. Sanitary habilitations
18.b. Building habilitations
18.c. Infrastructure habilitations
18.d. Ambient studies

19. Paper specifications development by heading

C. Licitation and building

This is a fundamental step for the development of the work, where for each heading, suppliers must be prequalified, asked for budgets with the licitation papers and plans prepared in the previous step, selection and contraction of the different suppliers, and fundamentally to coordinate and control the execution of the tasks

20. Work

20.a. Suppliers pre-selection
20.b. Contraction
20.c. Following

D. Moving and plant starting

With the execution of the works, tasks of moving and plant starting will be programmed, this must be preceded as possible, with the new methods of working that want to be implemented, it will be tried as possible to eliminate old vices at the beginning of the new plant operations.

For that, the personal able to execute those changes must be analyzed and we must have already the working methodology with manuals and specific norms.
Is fundamental to make this task at this time, because it is a unique chance the moment of trespassing the beginning of making a plant to operate efficiently

Basic tasks to be developed will be:

21. Human resources

21.a. Profiles
21.b. Selection
21.c. Training

22. Operational manuals

22.a. GMP
22.b. HACCP
22.c. Standards

23. Plant starting

23.a. Tests
23.b. Operation
